Always pleased to support amateur rugby league on this board so......
If not busy this Saturday get down to Wigan St Cuthberts (Pem High School Playing Fields) on Montrose Avenue as they are just 80 minutes away from amateur rugby league's major cup final. They play West Hull in the National Amateur Cup Semi Final with a 2:30pm Kick Off.
Cuthberts who play in the North West Counties Premier League have had a remarkable run to this stage. After seeing off Cumbria side Distington and then Hunslet Old Boys, in Round 4 Cuthberts got a shock win away at National League Premier Division Skirlaugh winning 18-12. Then in the Quarters they beat Yorkshire Cup holders Sharlston at home 22-16.
Admission is £2 but theres a good clubhouse and a barbecue - stuff like that. Cuthies are rank outsiders to win it looking at the odds in League Express paper so I'm sure support will be much appreicated.
Cannot make it to the game personally, but I know that a lot of our lads will be there to cheer on Cuthberts. Good luck to them from Ince Rose Bridge Rugby.
just got back after watching a brilliant and exciting finish to a game well into injury time cuthberts winning it 25 v 24 after leading 22 v 6 at half time

Well in St Cuthberts great result for you and NWC rugby. Siddal beat Queens in the other semi so it's a great day out in Blackpool to look forward to.
Good luck in the final from Ashton.
p.s. don't let up on Rylands either!
