If you think thats OK then you really are one sad moron. When young children are frightened and "Mentally" scarred by Drunken thugs then the people who act like animals as well as those who think its funny or OK should be names, Shamed and banned from all Sports Grounds for ever as well as spending some time inside. There is no excuse for a referee and Players to be treated in such a respectless way by anybody. I hope the Football fans and Club find these people and name and shame them in the courier and pass as much info on to the Police.

I am not a fan of halifax Town but feel sorry for the genuine fans and the club itself who have had enough problems as it is.

All I am saying is that without beer and the worst refereeing performance in living history yesterday, the events would not have unfolded

Sorry but do not agree. If somebody has a problem with drink and getting easily wound up then either stop drinking-seek help or do not go to a Family event. The ref was very poor fair enough, but I personally do not think it gives somebody the right to throw bear over him or attack people. The Ref is like all of us-a human being who makes mistakes, has bad days and has other things which can effect his performance. Without the Ref you have no game. I feel there is not enough respect for Refs in Sport as whatever they do they are wrong and they know they will get a load of verbal abuse-yet still turn up and usually try the best. I have Reffed at Rugby League a couple of times and its bloody hard work with communicating with your linesmen etc as well as talking to the players. I guess Soccer is also a tough sport to Ref
For people to throw bear at him and others is just way out of line and a disgrace. I would hope the people responsible are caught.

I respect that but the hatred at football matches is far greater than rugby ones, they cannot be compared and this will not change. That's why you are not allowed to drink while the game is on by the FA- a rule that is seldom adhered to at unibond games.
People are moaning about the 'vast minority' that are at fault. Believe me those abusing the ref after yesterday's game were by no means a minority.

the ref and beer were to blame though, them two together at a footy game was asking for trouble

I agree, he has a job to do and he shouldn't have been allowed to drink!
