We'd have struggled against anyone else tonight but saying that Celtic were surely way below their best as well. Strange, strange game.
Seemed a poor game in that the Giants never got out of second gear. But they didnt have to. Celtic didnt have any more than that to give last night. There is the old saying that you are only as good as your opposition and last night I think we went down to their level. When at work would you do more than you had to considering in 3 days time you were going to have to do the same job again? I wouldnt. They go over to play KR in what will probably be a lot harder game. The lads did enough to win, more than enough as they had a 20 points advantage on Celtic and that was without breaking a sweat. On top of that we play Leeds - which will be another tough one on Saturday giving us another game in just 5 days. Cant blame them for pacing themselves. A win is a win for me, it is nice to get a win on the back of a great performance but thats not always possible. We arent always going to play champagne rugby - even Leeds dont do that as last nights score will testify. Monday is another day, another game and hopefully another 2 points!

I think you're right in many ways here but would think personally that Celtic would have to be disappointed with what they served up last night. With ball in hand they were really bad, in the first half in particular.
In one instance one of their men threw a pass about 5 yards forward and straight into touch! And that first try they got in the second half, well, fluke doesn't really do it justice!
If London is Athens, Yorkshire is Sparta, a tougher community and proud of it.
