i keep going back to the quins game, where fitzys mistake in the first minute didn't help us at all. and a few others (wigan, anybody?)
like the guy, just not as full back.

He will mate, its just going to take time. There's no way Smith can go a full season without getting rested/injured. Best to keep a winning team for now and FWIW I'd keep Wilshire at full back, looks infinitely more comfortable under a high ball.

And being capable under a high ball at super league level is essential.

I thought Wilshere was unflappable, did absolutely everything that was asked of him.

As I've said 60975 times before........................
Fitzy is a halfback, and not a fullback.
Therefore, don't expect miracles of him when he's playing out of position...

WE NEED A FULLBACK....................or keep Wilshere there, if we have no other options

I think you have a problem that everyone wants. An absolute superstar with england/gb stamped on his forehead. The downside is EVERY superleague side will be after him, saints have eastmond, and wigan have tompkins, but every other side will offer this lad the world. The tightening of quota/entry requirements mean his value is increasing by the week. I hope you keep hold of him and become a force in supeleague. My Grandad played for saints and then moved to salford so i always have an affinity for the club. Good luck and do us a favour on monday

Thanks mate!

Surely Paul Forber isn't old enough to be your Gramps?!

 Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book

Karl has been our first choice full-back for quite some time now.

Can you tell me "Jim Jalfrezi" the last time Karl played at either 6 or 7 for the Reds ?
