Wakey played WET Weather rugby (5 drives & kick) .... we tried to play dry weather rugby ( & we are not Saints) ... the result was never in doubt because we could not adapt to the conditions....
Pity the spanking came from Wakey and it does highlight again TM's inability to alter tactics to suit ......... but at the end of the day we cannot win them all .... we just need to regroup and get ourselves up for Warrington on Monday where hopefully it will be drier than tonight.......
Well done Wakey. You adapted to this conditions and played some great rugby.
I'm gutted TBH. We looked clueless on our own line - and our defence was nothing like the rest of the games we've played. We've only ever lost by 2 or 4 points this year.. and to get our arses handed to us like that just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
We really missed Jones and McGoldrick today. McGoldrick especially.

He's been telling people at the ground tonight he's appealed against the 2 game ban and won. He said he's playing monday.
Not sure if it's goldy telling porkies and winding fans up, i'm not sure.

As has been said, Wakey played the conditions better today. We had very little control over the football and although both teams started off making errors, Wakey adapted and we didn't.
Wakey also had a greater desire to win, especially after they got their noses in front and we seemed to lose the will after we realised that our efforts were not reaping the usual rewards.
I do think that we missed McGoldrick in the link up with the half backs, but that wasn't the reason we lost. We simply didn't adapt to the wet conditions.
Hopefully we can get back on track on Monday against Wire, but that will also be a tough game (despite their league position and results so far).
