The most annoying thing about today was probably the fact that Leigh were crap. We had a lead for nearly 75% of the game yet couldn't capitalise and take the game by the scruff of the neck just like Fax last week. How frustrating is Loz Wildborne?
And loving Doran with his constant 'giving away penalties', he has obviously been speaking to Koe Love. Useless, and we can't even blame the ref. Shocking. Forwards weren't too much to blame, but we still deffo need the muscle up front, ie Morrison. Ostick was Ok along with Kavannagh and Thompson when he came on, but we just didn't create anything at all today. FFS Marsh>Thackray. Embarrassing.
Also like to congratulate the Widnes fans for really lifting the players when they needed it the most.
an atmosphere that isn't created by people in matching shirts clapping along to a drum or novelty PA music might be nice!

I've not been to Widnes since 2005. I always remembered that the atmosphere and banter between our two set of fans at your gaff was always good. What has happened the Widnes fans? Have you all lost your voices? As you said you were leading for most of the game yet I didn't hear a peep out of the home fans all game.

Give them some credit I heard a few screams of FORWARD every now and then

I think 'awkward' is a good word to use in that situation - that's how it felt when we lost to Batley and can certainly understand it being the same for your lot today. Why get behind your side when they clearly can't be bothered?
Anyroad, as you can imagine, I'm absolutely bloody chuffed with the performance both on and off the field - Leigh fans really got behind the lads, and that was something I wasn't confident about pre-match, while our forwards worked their nads off, particularly Armistead and Hill when they stayed on the field despite their injuries.
I think the execution of both sides was poor, but that doesn't neccesarily make it a bad game - I thought it was far too closely fought for it to be boring, and the last ten minutes were just an onslaught on your line, which I actually thought would end in defeat when we lost possession on 78 minutes.
A contest that will be added to the list of Leigh-Widnes thrillers as far as I'm concerned, the game was on a knife edge throughout.

It was like a derby game both teams trying to win the arm wrestle.Well since we dropped out of superleague this as been our derby game and today i think it showed not pretty but a dam very hard pill to swallow when you lose.

As it was for a few years before you got in to Super League as well
Only downside being that we only ever get an atmosphere against your lot, and occasionally 'Fax
