I thought Thaler had a good game - he's reffed us on two occasions this season at home with both games having flowed and therefore been enjoyable. I also find his decisions are fairly consistent.

All refs make mistakes or apply subjective judgements that fans will often disagree with, but I think he got the key decisions right yesterday and wasn't whistle happy. Unlike some refs he doesn't seem to look to give penalties unless they are warranted. A complete contrast to that buffoon Bentham, who generally makes different decisions on similar incidents throughout the same game. Nothing is more frustrating than an inconsistent interpretation of the rules and he is the worst. Afraid the Catalans game on Monday will provide a demonstration.

I have. He runs back , touches the ball which goes back a short distance, he overruns it, ending on Wigan's side of the ball and that is why the ref said it went forwards. I don't mind, merely wanted to point it out to put people right.
Watch it again carefully, with no preconceived ideas.

There was almost 20 mins gone before he gave the first pen.
Hock's disallowed "try" was the first pen not given by Thaler but the VR.
Yes he made mistakes and glaring ones but overall he had an excellent game.Compare that to Bentham's nightmare v Huddersfield and he looked very good.

Hmmm, make your mind up!

Every 50:50 went against us.

I honestly don't think the ref had a good game.

Btw imo Hock scored a try.

Honestly? A laughable post! BTW I agree he didn't have a good game though!

Well given the amount of time you spend on this board, I'm sure you do.
