maybe it's a union conspiracy, ever thought of that ??

It's been fun.

Working for Transport for london i have to say that west london is the worst part by far for traffic congestion and being so close to Heathrow doesn't help either.

part of the reason i think the crowds are low is it just doesn't seem to connect with Londoners and gets little or no exposure

Greater London is about 40 miles N/S
and 50 miles E/W
think how many pro teams in the north west there are in the same radius?

It has no identity, no ground and it's trading off a union name which in itself is detrimental.
Any one that might have been slightly interested in RL but supports say Saracens or London Irish isn't going to support what they now see as a rival team. When they were the broncos they had their own identity.

You're having a laff - I live 40 miles north of you and it doesnt take me that long from here!! I'd get a better SatNav if I were you!!

IMO they need to have London in their name somewhere - they need the people of London to feel like they have a club of their own to support rather than a gimmick part of a famous Rugbu Union club in the shadow of the Mecca of rah-rah.

Completely agree - when the Broncos played at Brentford they had that identity and crowds were starting to grow with growth coming from locals

and if I lived in Barnet I would too. When Broncos were at Brentford I went round the North Circular and on most occasions managed it in a largely legal 1hr 30 from Bedford.

The bottom line is that the major newspapers that people pay to read don't publicise the existence of Quins. The rugby league coverage is miniscule in all the "serious" national newspapers (Telegraph, Times, Guardian, Independent) and nonexistent in the tabloids. And within rugby league coverage Quins get a small slice if anything.

Only when the papers people pay to read, and the major free to air TV stations, start covering Quins, will Londoners start going to the matches.

That is why I think that a second London club, built upon the rising tide of junior participation, may give incentives for the newspapers to cover rugby league in London.
