and to be fair playing a game on the eve of the biggest bank holiday of the year is just stupid IMO
If you can't see what can be done in London then come to our boards and have a look at the posts of the last couple of weeks. Numerous suggestions have been made, especially by gutterfax, that are all sensible and logical but the problem remains that the club are currently sitting tight and doing NOTHING, in fact going backwards in the way in which they are promoting the club.
Playing the game on a Thursday made perfect sense but the club didn't capitalise on the opportunity. Thursday is the night out in London, I have no doubt that many of our supporters work in the office environment and could have dragged a few work collegues along for a beer up and decent night out. No offers were available for such a thing to occur because of our ridiculous ticketing system and stand layout. People were already in London and with no work the next day, it could have been a sure fire winner IMO, and in the opinion of many others (I did notice a few suits in attendance last night, but not many).
There were no transport problems getting to and from the match unless you travelled by car, but then thats never easy anyway. And from a playing perspective, we play Celtic on Monday which is a must win and a tough game, so an extra day of recovery suits us.

i would say that quins have some of the best facilities in the competition too which would surely sway people if they can manage to get them in first of all?

Its bad but salford arent doing a whole lot better. Its important to have a team in london, stick with quins for at least the next 5 years and see how things go.

I don't think i've ever known any newcomer to be disappointed with the match day experience until this season when they can't sit anywhere decent. See my previous post. This is down to the way the club is being run at the moment, not this usual "it'll never work" argument.

Oh no attacking my grammar! even though it was clearly a mistake. I'll have to make sure I draft and re-read my posts in future. Shame I thought this was a forum, I didn't realise it was a rugby league journal.
I didn't reply to your insane ramblings, I replied to your other comment and noted how nobody had replied to your insane ramblings. It shows that people have stopped even discussing them with you. They just ignore you when you go off on one like that.
You might attack my grammar but it doesn't matter how much you actually concentrate on how you are writing because what you are write is pure nonsense and everybody recognises it as such.

Obviously a big part of the problem now is there is a Pro Rugby League team playing in the sport's elite competition in London - they're called Harlequins and play at Twickenham!!! - now how many people in and around London would hear the Quins are playing at the Stoop and know it was a Rugby League game ?.
IMO they need to have London in their name somewhere - they need the people of London to feel like they have a club of their own to support rather than a gimmick part of a famous Rugbu Union club in the shadow of the Mecca of rah-rah.
