Ok mate, sorry to misread it.
He kicked 12/12 which like you say is superb but the major plus point on top of that was he actually looked like a goal kicker, relaxed, methodical etc. Nobody else has looked convincing. But will Govin take it back when he plays.

Holroyd .
He was X10 the kicker Patts is. Lets not compare, judge or even jest about the two... Holly should hold a high regard after all those points last year. Especially after the way he left/came back etc...
Having a winger that can kick goals, has more advantages than one. As wingers play probably in the least physical position on the field and the position where the least tackling and driving is required. This means that they are likely to stay a lot fitter and more conditioned than players playing in the centre of the park, who do a lot more driving in and tackling of the opposition. Therefore, when the winger takes the kick at goal, they will be fresh and have much more energy and concentration, whereas forwards will have been involved repetively in constant back to back plays.

Case in point - What position is Hazem El Masri?
Is Lee Crooks the exception to the rule?
Or maybe that part-time kicker Andy Farrell?
Only joking mate, you have a fair point, when I first started to go to rugby it was all wingers and full-backs that kicked goals.
Sucks to be matt calland. What a position. How do you pick 13 out of 20 players playing at the top of their game! That hasn't happened at fax for a long while. Well done to everyone and good luck to matt picking a team for Monday
