Don't get me wrong, I for one am disgusted with what Ben did, I have said previously that he should have done time for it (regardless of the circumstances before the attack, he went too far.)
Baring the above in mind, I have also said I'm happy with the way the club have responded to the incident. Unlike other clubs in the same situation, he has been punished yet also been made to seek professional rehabilitation. For me this is a real show of personal commitment by the club to help Ben be a better person, to sack him would have been the easy way out!
Even though I am disgusted with what Ben did the Mail is printing sensationalist tripe! Fair do's run the story, but to then go at it again, when to be fair, what is left to be said? Nothing so they print a bit of crap that contradicts things previously reported
It does come over as a bit of a personal witch hunt to be fair.
Now let me give my opinion on Mr Thompson, what an idiot!
1) He has previously said Ben had offered an apology, which clearly was not excepted.

He approached Ben to let him know that if Ben
PAYED HIM MONEY he would drop the charges. Yeah, he clearly wanted the right kind of justice didn't he, not!!!!!!!!!
Then he shows his true lack of morals and intelligence by having a public rant about everyone being to lenient with Ben.
Did he really think just cause he wasn't prosecuted for perverting the cause of justice, that it automatically wipes the memory of it from the public domain?
Now just for Mrs B and co..............
As previously stated by another poster, when the case was first reported, the club did come out and say how sorry Ben was for the incident. By the sound of it Mrs B wants Ben to seek her out and give her a personal apology

Yes Raynor made a public apology for what he had done (funny I missed the mails two day 8 page report on his crime
) then went on to doing something dodgy with ink cartridges, how heartfelt his apology of disgracing the club must have been, NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And for what it is worth, Raynor did not show remorse for what he had done, it was focused on how he was sorry for letting down the fans and embarrassing the club! Yet, you lot lapped it up, not because he had done the right thing, but because it gratified your over weaning ego's.
In short, I DO NOT support what Ben has done, but some of you black and whites have SERIOUS double standards.
He doesn't need to apologize to me, he hasn't done anything to me. What I am interested in is how he responds to his second chance. I for one hope he grabs it with both hands and becomes a more controlled person, only time will tell.
