We are lead to believe Quins are playing some decent stuff but they still are not pulling in the crowds. Yes it's Catalans on a Thursday night but it's not really good enough is it?

It's bizarre to be honest. The amateur game seems to be doing okay down there but the Quins seem to be dying rapidly. I can understand the Unionites deliberately staying away, I'd do the same if St Helens launched a Guiness Premiership franchise and played in the same kit. But I cannot fathom why they can't must 7 or 8,000 Australasians for the weekly social event that is 'the footy'? People will laugh and say crowds don't matter and that Saints aren't sufficiently attended but the fact is that Quins won't be able to operate with that low an income for very long. If League loses it's geographical dot in terms of the UK, Sky will laugh in our faces and knock a 0 off the next TV deal.

But what can be done?

Oh yeah the fans they've got are great and it's a superb stadium, just crowds need to rise.

The reason that our crowds are bad is quite simple:

Lack of effort (probably due to lack of money or lack of effective management of money or both),

We now have a “general manager” whose stated number 1, 2, 3 priorities are to get more bums on seats. On the evidence so far, I'd hate to know what will happen to the 4th and 5th priorities.

keep the faith guys, its hard getting bums on seats without success - i know i've followed Huddersfield for 20+ years, for the die hard London fans sake i hope you lot can do what we have however long it takes !!

There can be no excuses, 2500 is a pretty bad crowd. Problem is we can't just sack them off because of crowds they are too important.

I think our only option is to persist with them at Quins. The worst thing would be to move them again.

The Dragons brought a decent number of supporters and they were certainly very vocal. I was impressed.

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
