Rather have our league season end in May than in September :D

He was shot in both arms , and both legs. He later died because of his injuries. Tommy 25th March 2007.

Salford City Reds are the National League Champions again and nobody will ever win a Grand Final more dramatically than this. Division One champions, Grand Final winners, winners of the Northern Rail Cup; everything their hearts desired. Down and out? Not a bit of it, they are never out. Memories are made of this forever and a day, Salford fans will ask "where did you watch the 2008 Grand Final? Where did you see John Wilshere save the day with the last kick of the ball?"

If the BBC decide again to show two games live on Sunday 10th May I think all the other ties should be played either on Friday 8th May or Saurday 9th May.

I'm sure quite a lot of fans stayed at home last Sunday instead of attending one of the other cup ties on the day.

I thnk they only televised both games on the Sunday because of the Grand National on the Saturday. I'd expect one per day unless the BBC have something major lined up for the Saturday.

I very much doubt we'll be on the Beeb ... even if they choose to show 3 games?!

Surely Saints V Les Cats and Wigan V Wakey?

Cas V Fax has to be more likely than us too.

The draw for the quarter final of the competition will also take place on BBC 2 on the Sunday evening following the conclusion of the St Helens and Catalans Dragons game.

The Carnegie Challenge Cup fifth round ties are as follows:

Gateshead Thunder v Oldham RLFC

Batley Bulldogs v Salford City Reds

Castleford Tigers v Halifax RLFC

Featherstone v Warrington Wolves

St Helens v Catalans Dragons
(Live on BBC 2, Sunday 10 May, kick off 3.15pm)

Huddersfield Giants v Rochdale Hornets
