I'm failing to understand the logic behind your opinion.

In summary, HKR are made up of of a few overrated foreigners, a couple of Wigan rejects and a couple of blokes I have never heard of.
Saints by plenty, by miles even!

HKR are about as poor as it gets.
When referring to the atmosphere of the HJ...

Shame it doesn't keep the sound like the full east stand of HKR. That's atmosphere.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but in some ways I just dont understand these kind of opinions.
Does Ben just stand and watch his friend get knocked out? Does he let the kid get back up only to then attack him back? Or as the unwritten rules state is it "one in all in" and once you start dont let him get back up or it'll be you on the deck? Maybe its the Longhill lad in me but that seems to be how Ben was brought up, right or wrong I know i'd rather have someone as a friend that will stick up for me than someone that'll let me take a kick in till the police decide the time is right to turn up and do something.

Afraid i cannot take you seriously after reading that. Its hardly any wonder you don't understand other peoples opinions with that ridiculous mentality.

One of the most pathetic things I have ever read on here. What he did was completely and utterly out of order.

However if you knew what had gone on previous to thompson (who is a bell end) hitting Bens friend, you'd be just as disgusted with what he had done. Hull KR for me have handled this situation well and I'm sure Ben will be keeping his nose clean and getting down to some hard work both on an off the pitch in the coming months. He already helps out at my amateur club and has been involved in coaching since he started playing semi pro so hs been giving back to the community for the entirety of his professional career.
Another top post I wondered when someone was going to mention all this as it seems to have been overlooked. The plank even had the decency to admit to all of this in the HDM interview. He also admitted to punching Ben in the face first and then laying out cold another guy who he 'thought was going to attack him!' Why hasn't he been charged and similarly crucified for his actions. Ben did go too far but provocation or what?

They obviously have a vested interest in him, being a valuable member of the team, but the statement clearly shows balance, integrity and a willingness to allow Cockayne to turn his life around. If Iraq has featured in his losing control then this could be an extremely important moment in his life and it could also be beneficial to the club and society as a whole. I'm sure too few violent offenders get opportunities like this from their employers.
So respect to Hull KR for this.
Conversely, I find myself respecting Castleford a little less. Their player had only played once, was a young guy, and they just kicked him out and got all holier than thou about our so-called 'family game'. (When exactly did rugby league adopt this mantle? Was it part of the Sky contract or something?)
Absolutely spot on on everything! If it had been Westerman I'm sure Cas wouldn't have been so hasty in sacking!

All I can say is that i'm glad none of you are people I trust.
I'm not embarassed to be honest, you dont allow a friend to get beaten up without doing anything.
Why is it a rediculous mentality to stick up for people you are supposed to care about?
Would you stand by and let your son or daughter take a kick in? Well I'd not let my friends either and as evidence proves neither does Ben.
Its easy to sit behind a computer with your halo's above your heads but as the Wakefield fan who knows what happened said there are parts to this you or I have not heard and are probably never likely to either.
Dont get me wrong what he did is still illegal and he deserved what he got, was lucky to not have got more however he showed he was willing to live and die by the sword to protect and gain justice for his friend. Loyalty goes a long way in my book, maybe not so much yours.
