Everyone is entitled to their opinion but in some ways I just dont understand these kind of opinions.
Does Ben just stand and watch his friend get knocked out? Does he let the kid get back up only to then attack him back? Or as the unwritten rules state is it "one in all in" and once you start dont let him get back up or it'll be you on the deck? Maybe its the Longhill lad in me but that seems to be how Ben was brought up, right or wrong I know i'd rather have someone as a friend that will stick up for me than someone that'll let me take a kick in till the police decide the time is right to turn up and do something.

Afraid i cannot take you seriously after reading that. Its hardly any wonder you don't understand other peoples opinions with that ridiculous mentality.

One of the most pathetic things I have ever read on here. What he did was completely and utterly out of order.

All I can say is that i'm glad none of you are people I trust.
I'm not embarassed to be honest, you dont allow a friend to get beaten up without doing anything.
Why is it a rediculous mentality to stick up for people you are supposed to care about?
Would you stand by and let your son or daughter take a kick in? Well I'd not let my friends either and as evidence proves neither does Ben.
Its easy to sit behind a computer with your halo's above your heads but as the Wakefield fan who knows what happened said there are parts to this you or I have not heard and are probably never likely to either.
Dont get me wrong what he did is still illegal and he deserved what he got, was lucky to not have got more however he showed he was willing to live and die by the sword to protect and gain justice for his friend. Loyalty goes a long way in my book, maybe not so much yours.
