Well the end is nearly here for Ken Davy when he steps down to hand the reins of HTFC to Dean Hoyle.
HTFC last home game is April 25th & last away game is 2nd May 2009 so I suppose that's when Mr Hoyle will be in full official control.
I can only think this is a good thing for all Giants and HFTC fans but I'm not sure if he really likes the Giants but could this have an effect on giants when he is officially takes over?

Definitely, we'll now no longer be able to steal millions off of Town's huge income for our own squad.
I think it will all be fine. Ultimately, whether the fans like it or not, it is best for all concerned that we have good relations with the football club and vice versa. There are areas that, if we work together, can be mutually beneifical and we need to take advantage of those.
If London is Athens, Yorkshire is Sparta, a tougher community and proud of it.
l too would like both teams to have a good relationship, Towns result is the only soccer game l have any interest in. but they always want to be top dog, their reserves get to play at the Pharm we have been all over YM, Lockwood, Dram Centre, in the past we have been accused of stripping their funds, ruining the pitch, etc The examiner would also seem to be biased, a great win for the Giants this weekend, Town lose, yet 4 captions on the Examiner home page for Town, nothing for the Giants.
So l hope this Hoyle guy is a fair minded bloke, and appreciates what Ken Davy has done for Town, some of the fans gave Ken a real hard time, totally unjustified, l would expect Ken Davy will hand over Town in a very strong financial position, we´ll see where they go from hear.
Does anyone know what the share situation will be?

God dammit, you had me worried then, I thought this was about the Giants, not the ankle grabbers.
Its ultimately good for both teams, since each individual MD can concentrate on his own affairs, hopefully with a strong working relationship that will benefit all parties.
Maybe one day Town fans will acknowledge the debt of graitude they owe to Mr Davy.

The relationship has become a lot closer than when the stadium first opened. In fact it could be said it started to become closer when Ken took over Town!
As for the share issue Ken still owns Sporting pride and thats where both the Giants and Towns original shares in the stadium are held, and I doubt that he'll just hand them back when he did it for the best interests of both clubs. Ken is still staying on the Town board so that does indicate the share issue! I don't know the exact terms!
I hate reading what the Town fans are saying about Ken. But seriously had he not done what he did then there would not be a Town club at all or at least in the Football League. They keep going on that there was another offer and the administators ignored it but I do recall that the only offer was withdrawn 24 hours before the deadline and Ken stepped in at the last hour. I know this as I kept getting phone calls from worried friends thinking Town had gone!
I can understand some of Town fans resentment over Ken as while he's been in charge of Town Giants have prospered and Town have remained stagnant. But it's an awful lot cheaper to gain success in RL than it is in Football!

Yeah, me too. My heart sank when I saw the headline. Very naughty that, Cockney.
"With a reaping hook, Cronus lopped off his father's genitals and flung them into the sea. From the drops of blood that fell on the earth came the Giants."
