more an exhibition game in the off season.

if it mean losing one of the real games then i wouldnt be a fan of it.

too valuable to be wasting on heathens

Not going to happen.

A live game wouldnt come here as it wouldnt be able to be played at a decent hour for TV back in Aus. There goes a poop load of $'s. Also the expense of playing the game in the UK would wipe out any gate.

Playing an exhibition game in the off season? At the expense of a potential international, no thanks.

Ordinary concept, State of Origin provides some of the greatest Rugby League you will ever see, but the UK isnt an emerging market (yes london may be). All this would do is devalue the origin concept.

Pipe dream stuff.

winning like never before. decoys. mouse traps. chicken wings. lollie pops. shepperds. the crusher. grapples. big league. In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

Fredie, I am all for expansion and new frontiers.

But this one is just not viable at all.

I am aware of what it once was and what the two states have turned it into, incidentally when it was first revived it was only done so on the understanding that it wouldn't be a trial for international selection unlike the sad state of affairs it is today.

Non Aussies?

There have been some who may have been born in foreign countries, but at least they spend some of their youth and rugby league upbringing in Australia.

I cant think of a single player who swapped after playing for several years in the NRL.

london is certainly an expansion market.

why would it be at the cost of an international anyway?

its helped RL in melbourne quite a bit, why not london as well on the same basis
