Seems a very odd time to pick a squad for a competition that doesnt start til June...they could have waited 2 weeks to see who starts the season in form couldnt they??
Good to see some of the new names in there - Denly mainly, Foster (about bl00dy time), Key, Bresnan, Kabir Ali (overdue return Id say)
On the other hand is Ian Bell really a better option than Strauss?? And picking Strauss would have done away with any kind of captaincy issue...

I'm guessing here, but I would have thought that the ICC has said all countries need to name a prelimenary squad, which will be cut down in due course. I know they've done that for previous tournaments.

That's correct. The squad will be cut down to 15.
