Keighley Cougars furry super hero mascot Freddie Cougar gave Cougar fans something to cheer about when he beat his Castleford Tigers counterpart JT in a challenge arm wrestle at halftime during last Sunday’s Carnegie Challenge Cup Fourth Round tie at Cougar Park.
Freddie, who went through a gruelling six-week fitness campaign before the start of the 2009 season, came through as the winner being undefeated in the best of three contest.
Freddie said: “JT was really sporting and he’s a real gentleman. It was a bit of fun and we both enjoyed taking part. We hope that it helped add a little bit of extra entertainment to the day’s events.
“All that training I did for my fitness campaign has paid off. It just proves what you can achieve when pay attention to what you eat and do some exercise.”
