My son-in-law who sadly is a Giants fan decided to do a "Yob" and did his own mini draw at home.
Fax ended up being at home to Gateshead and Huddersfield were at home to Batley. Wonder if "Mystic Yob" got the same?

There are a few different ways of looking at the next round.
If we are gonna eventually lose in a money spinning tie, at home to a SL team, it might be best to do it in the next round, less fixtures and fatigue as the season progresses. The prize money for losing in last 16 or last 8 cannot be too drastic (can't quote a figure, just an assumption).
BUT If we draw a lower league team in next round we should progress, meaning we will be in the quarter final of the CC. If we then get a home tie, against SL opposition, there is a fair chance of being on TV, regardless of the team we play or the result, the extra exposure given to the club would be priceless.
The buzz around the town for the Melbourne game and the last 2 Widnes games was very refreshing, a CC quarter final would really raise the bar.
Before the season began all thoughts were on winning NRC and getting to Grand Final, nobody even dreamed of a good CC run, lets enjoy it while we can, we've waited long enough.
COME ON FAX!!!
My choice would be Oldham at home, then absolutely any SL team at home.
No disrespect to Oldham but we would be massive favourites to win that tie and they would bring a few fans

I'd rather take Oldham at Boundary Park, we'd travel well the short distance over the Pennines and their last 2 home games (vs Workington and Lezignan) have had crowds just over 800, given their was little away support at these ties thats about what they get each week.
I don't think many would travel to Fax, so if we drew them we'd be better getting them away.
If we get a Non Sl team next round rather than see it as a money spinner we need to see it as a chance to progress, there will be winning money ect so not a bad thing if it has a low ish attendance.
Would be nice to get to the quarters. So any championship side at home would be nice. Can anyone remember whn we last got to the quarter finals of the CC? St Helens in 2000 me thinks?

In all seriousness, if a couple of lower league sides draw each other in next round, and we do the same, there is the slightest chance we could draw the winner of that game in the quarters (try keep up).
Halifax in Semi-Final of the CC? Dreamland
