We do have to get the best out of what we've got, which means the forwards have to up their performance and lay a platform for the recognised halfbacks in the squad to be able to play.
Berrigan would control the middle. Thorman and Horne would control out wide. What im suggesting isnt someone to control anything but to make sure that ball is shifted.

So you want a scrum half/first receiver who does nothing other than pass the ball to one of two players?
Sounds like a great plan to me.

And as for 'running role'... He was never quick. Now he barely gets above 'trundle'.
I agree with you Kosh. I like the idea of creative Loose Forwards but as a personal choice of Radford as a running LF or Washy as a creative one then my choice would be Radford.
I think Whiting is a better choice but I feel a derby game might not be the one to throw him into. We missed that boat today.
Lee is no good at decision making, which is why he has not been too bad this season because he hasn't had to make them!
Thorman was VERY poor today, Horne i thought was OK.
King was poor too, and not good enough IMO. Dunno why Thacks was dropped, warming up for tomorrow on sing-star?!
I agree with the Moa comments, he has shown good play but his fitness seems to be lacking and so having a knock-on effect on the other props having to do more work
HE NEED TO MAKE GOOD DECISIONS! This is the most important thing that we are lacking!

Then I'm eternally grateful that you'll never be coaching Hull FC.

Washy is actually another running Loose Forward. He only appears creative compared to Radford, who is a prop. I'm not Washbrook's greatest fan, but he is a far better LF than Radford.
Whiting would make a good creative loose, but I agree that the Derby is probably too early to try that.
Hold on to me baby, his bony hands will do you no harm It said in the cards, we lost our souls to the Nameless One

Start with King after today's display? doesn't deserve to be in the 17 IMO, start with Dowes and Cusack, Moa and Thacks on the bench with Washy and Whiting. No Lee, lets have Whiting back.
and lets be fair, Radders is never going to get dropped is he!? He's El Capitano!
