It was a fantastic game, and I think our ruck play was alot quicker in the second half, but as Cullen has said, we were one play short and let you off the hook alot. It could have been a different story if the breakaway try and the Wildbore's behind the sticks had been given, so don't go counting your chickens just yet. We were alot closer last night than 2 weeks ago, but I must say Fax's defence has been absolutely superb in both games.

I didnt whinge about anything, I made an observation.

I only mentioned the re-starts as it seemed very very inconsistant.

If i wanted to whinge I could have gone on about lots that Silverwood missed / made an @rse of .

But I didnt want to whinge.

I dont think anyone is counting chickens yet. We will meet a few more times this year and they should all be close games with a decision making the difference.

Widnes did slow the play of the ball down by putting our players on their backs and fair play to them for that, they did what some Superleague clubs did, and seems to work for them.

Its funny how we are told not to count our chickens just yet (not that anybody have been), but if you read on the Widnes forum, they dont feel that Fax are a good side and with a little more composure they would have won by 20 pts. http://ga.oh-servers.com/forum/index.php/topic,23283.0.html

Its great supporting such a poor side that has beaten their side twice. Cant wait until their team plays to their full potential. We will be lucky to share a pitch with them! :roll:

Dont they whinge? Govin's cone too high at kick off? I think they miss the basics - we competed better, took our chances better, defended better and wanted to win more - making us the better team!!!

How can you moan that good defending cost youu a game? As we're finding out compared to last year, a good defence is essential.

They need to manage their expectations!!!!!

I actually commented to a couple of my mates at the games about the kicking tee. The rules were changed about 7 years ago in Rugby Union because they started using ridiculously high kicking tee's to start the game, meaning they were doing exactly what Govin did. This obviously wasn't me complaining, just simply making an observation.
The ruke change was that all kicking tee's were outlawed for restarts and a drop-kick has to be used.
Surely they would never consider this rule change in Rugby League?????

Whatever people say about him he scores a hell of a lot of points. Is he at Harlequins now? Has he played for them?

IIRC, there was some concern about this several years back in SL when one team were using something that resembled a traffic cone, (poss. Bulls), and the RFL stated that kicking tees should be no higher than the referee's cards, which is approximately four inches in height. If the kicking tee appears to be too high, then it is up to the referee to stop the team using it.

RFL = FAIL

He'd have got through our goal line defence in the League Game when we defended like buggery, and maybe in the cup game too.

Don't think he's played a competitive game for the Quins yet. Didn't even get picked vs Salford
