winning like never before. decoys. mouse traps. chicken wings. lollie pops. shepperds. the crusher. grapples. big league. In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

I'm greatly disappointed in Setanta's decision to drop a game from their coverage. I could understand to an extent if they were showing something on their channels, i.e. Magners League like the stated.

However, on Friday morning, while St George were busy beating Brisbane 25-12 at the Sun Corp, what were Setanta screening? From 8am-10am on BOTH Setanta 1 and 2... teleshopping.

TELESHOPPING!!!

A strongly worded email was sent, and as stated above, a "We will reply within 5 days" automatically generated email was received. I doubt I'll see a response, but in the meantime I'm now going to have to doubt the value for money Setanta offer, with NRL being the main reason for subscription for me.

Was a great game too - Broncos v Saints.

Check out the try by Morris off Lockyer's pass. That is footy.

Anyway I've droped them and now get my NRL games via the NRL internet thru Oz Sport. OK there is a delay but all NRL games are covered & at half the cost of the pathtic Paddy offering.

What I find equally annoying is that they are showing two+ AFL games weekly......clearly showind a typical 'paddy' attitude.

Would suggest we e-mail the NRL expressing regret that they gave the contract to Ireland. Perhaps they could offer it 'next season' to Eurosport or one of the main channels i.e. Five.

Does OZsports show the full game? Further, do they show them all?

In reply to questions on Oz Sport..... it's AussieSport............. the NRL etc international internet TV service. It costs £4.99 per month for all NRL games in full, but delayed, with brief highlights also available etc. To be frank with a decent PC & Broadband connection the viedo's are as good as normal TV.

Last year was 'told-off' for posting this alternative to the. even then, poor offering, from the 'broke' Irish shower. So hope that the Mods do not again ban my post as think those of us to have an interest in NRL are fully entitled to be made aware of the 'alternatives'.

Seems a worthwhile investment.

All the games in full for £4.99 a month seems good value.

Do try it and let everyone know your views. Was in a EC1 pub last nite with a load of Aussie IT contract tech's & all said the had dropped the 'Paddy' outfit in favour of the games shown thru AussieSport.

The did not seem worried by the 'access delay' to both NRL & AFL as it allowed them to follow the games/teams in which they had a 'personal' interest rather than the 1/2 weekly games selected.

If Aussie's 'working' in UK are cancelling and moving to the internet service it might explain the current poor showings from the 'Paddy' outfit.
