Unfortunately RL players have a track record of getting into trouble with nightclub scuffles and the like and both Hull clubs have their fair share. IMO, the clubs (FC included) and the RFL have let them off too lightly with the old "dealt with internally" whitewash. Even you must see, though, that this one, with the sustained and brutal nature of the attack and its consequences in terms of injuries, tips into a different category.
The strange thing about this is, i thought that during the summing up by the judge, he stated that one of the reasons for not sending them to prison was because the victim suffered no real injuries, if thats the case then, how come all these injuries have suddenly come to light?.
