Now perosnally booing and jeering a loss or a bad performance is something I have never EVER entertained and never will. But tonight i am wa almost ashamed to say I was a Widnes fan. There are some loving mugs who watch this club. Just seen a twin thread on TIW, and I echo most of their sentiments for a change.
Saw a couple of the players give a bit back too, but IMHO so they should, a group of about 5-6 young lads around 15-16 were really laying into a couple of individuals tonight after they came over to applaud us. Not just having a pop at youngsters in the slightest as there were older chaps who had kids with them doing the same thing, I can't describe how loving infantile this is. Really winds me up. By the sounds of Thackray was being singled out, I mean WTF? Ok didnt set the world alight, but flipping heck why him?
I am sorry, but although we took a brilliant number tonight (somewhere between 6-800 Id say) our support was shameful half of the time, as opposed to getting behind the lads, jeering and booing and personally abusing our team. MUGS
an atmosphere that isn't created by people in matching shirts clapping along to a drum or novelty PA music might be nice!

I've mentioned this on a few threads now but I thought he had a good game for you last night. Abusing him is hardly going to help him play better.

Three reasons for the abuse:
1) Alcohol
2) Alcohol
3) Alcohol

We had plenty of beer between us but managed to leave with our dignity in tact without having abused anyone, other than a bit of light hearted heckling of the 'fax coach
These people are degenerate idiots who would hurl that abuse regardless, alcohol only fuels it for them.

Big topic on TIW this one but lucky for us we were well away from these idiots enjoying the night out and watching a game of ruggers with a few beers .
Not only does it make Widnes RLFC look poop but winds me up and I`m fearing that if I`m next to these idiots in the future , I`m going to open a can of whoop a$$ on them.
We were unfortunate to be close to these idiots and they weren't kids abusing Cullen, they were old enough to know better. Some couldn't wait to dish out their rubbish and they are the usual idiots that annoy many of us at away games. The language and hatred that is shouted out is disgusting.

The Vikings had a good game, don't turn on your players.
I really don't know why the Viking supporters would have a go at the players / coach! There were only 4 points in the game and you had a try knocked off. In the second half when the ball was bouncing behind the Fax line we were lucky that it was Worrincy that picked up the ball and saved the game for us.
Thanks for coming and good luck for the rest of the season.
By the way I'm not looking forward to coming to your place for the league game, but I'm sure it will be a cracker

Unfortunately we have a certain number of brainless morons who thrive on nothing but negative abuse of the players/coach/club when things don't go our way... They have some kind of misguided delusion that we should be winning every game we play. They should stick to their Wendyball.
