The fact that the victim is in the HDM today listing his injuries (seven broken ribs, a broken nose, severe head swelling etc) is throwing petrol on the flames. People say (usually rightly) that FC's board is inept, but I think it's a bit odd that Rovers are saying "they don't know when the meeting will take place".
I would imagine that it's quite difficult for the club to deal with. It is outside the normal day-to-day happening surrounding a rugby club, and despite having a legal mind on the board (tap-in), it's a case of asking lots of questions as to what the best course of action is, and i am sure it's not a decision that will be made lightly.
You've stolen my washing From out my back garden You've tarmacked my driveway Even though I said no You've nicked my lead flashing And weighed it in at the scrappy Oh St Helen's tatters Come rob me again

Cas clearly though it was not a difficult descision which puts KR under a little more pressure I expect..the rags are not interested in the level of the player inolved

I know..keep up was discussing the media influence on the case and interpretation
Basically Cas have made a moral stance rightly irrelevant of the level of player..the media will use this as part of the circus which may add more pressure of KR

The £120,000-a-week Liverpool captain puffed out his cheeks as he left a court hearing over an alleged bar brawl which left a businessman injured. Gerrard, 28, is still accused of affray
So you are still maintaining the two cases are comparable in severity, then?
I am saying that affray is the use of or the threatening of violence.Affray is a more serious charge because it means that there was more than one person involved. In Gerrards case it seems there was n o evidence that he assaulted anyone but the Crown takes the view that he threatened to do so with the crowd he was with. Is that clear enough for you? I also asked, would you still want Crocker to play for you?

And had it been Westerman or one of their other first team stars, would the decision have been as easy?
The decision has been dealt with by the courts and what the judge, who had all the evidence, considers to be a relevant punishment has been handed out.
Sensationalist journalism from the Hull Daily Mail, no better than the gutter press - wonder how much he's demanding for his story. I won't be buying it tonight.

i think the club should be liasing with the RFL on this one, there is no point repremanding him if the RFL are then going to wade in with something else. i for one would not relese him because he will definately get snapped straight up. he has matured on the field considerably over the last 12 months and looks to have addressed his temprement, off the field however, i could'nt possibly comment!
