I just have and you should be ashamed of some of the crap you've been spouting. Thankfully some of the more sensible and moral rovers fans have seen the incident for what it is. Try looking at the incident as if you didn't even know who he was, let alone that he is a rovers player, and see if you come to the same conclusion.
A couple of points. You could understand him protecting a mate who had been punched, you could even understand him throwing a few punches but once he is on the floor and defenceless its just cowardly thuggary to continue to attack him with the help of his mate. Even then you could possibly argue he was in a fit of rage and influenced by alcohol but he then comes back to dish out a further beating. Watching him walk away afterwards he doesn't even look that drunk so his thinking cant have been that impaired. Its sickening and he should be prison and he certainly shouldn't be earning a living off decent hard working RL fans.

People would be wiser to rail against the judicial system, and not individual figures.
What he's done is very, very wrong, but to make him out to be the be-all and end-all is not the way to act.
I'm sure he was expecting a spell in jail, we all was. British justice decided this was not so, and therein lies the problem.

If he had been sent down, that would have made Rovers board's life easier. The fact that the victim is in the HDM today listing his injuries (seven broken ribs, a broken nose, severe head swelling etc) is throwing petrol on the flames. People say (usually rightly) that FC's board is inept, but I think it's a bit odd that Rovers are saying "they don't know when the meeting will take place".

i did hear last night that the club will be releasing a statement at some point today. as for the hdm, they will print anything to sell a few extra papers as all rags do. tomorrows chip paper! the sooner this whole ugly incident is out of the way the better.
