When evidence on show like this, I think it's every RL fan's responsibility to take a step back and try to be as objective as possible regardless of sentiment or the player concerned.
No sentiment, just looking at the bigger picture. That cctv footage shows a small part of what happened that night. The judge was privy to that, most of us weren't. I've said I don't condone what he did and he deserves punishment, the judge has handed him what he considers a suitable punishment, after long consideration. Time for everyone to move on now I think.

Fair points but there's no need to make light of the situation by branding it on the level of a school playground fight etc.

Where did I make light of it, that was a genuine comment and not meant to be at all light hearted. It was more suggesting a problem in society. I personally was quite shocked when my daughter said it.
