I agree. Rovers are in a no win situation. If they do - as they should - sack him, another club would indeed snap him up - good players are short on the ground. It's all very well taking the moral high ground and getting rid if you believe (as I'm sure most right minded supporters and club officials will) Rovers should not be associated with a player capable of committing violence of this magnitude, but pretty galling when you're lining up against him in a couple of weeks.
Who loses? Cockayne or Rovers? I know many will say that is irrelevant as long as Rovers have done the right thing, but is that really the most just outcome?
No, the RFL need to step in and make this decision on behalf of ALL clubs. I bet Rovers would be the first to heave a sigh of relief.
But which is due first - the RFL hearing or the KR one? And is the little turd allowed to appear for Rovers in the mean time?
