As wrong as I think his actions were ,I think the R.F.L should mind their own buisness. A court of law has decided his punishment. If his employers (Hull KR not the R.F.L) want to take any further action, that should be left for them to decide.

Had the kid died they would have been facing a murder charge, this is the law, look it up on any good legal internet sites or better still in a good law book!!
It's only through good fortune rather than good planning that any of the repeated kicks to the head did not cause death. The fact that Cockayne returned to deliver further kicks is inexcusable.

I do not believe that he should have got a suspended sentence, he should have been imprisoned for his thuggish, cowardly attack.

I sincerely hope that Hull Kingston Rovers deem him to have breached his professional contract and dismiss him.

I've just watched the CCTV footage of the attack and I am truely disgusted. Yes, I jnow this and much worse goes on every weekend but at the end of the day Cockayne and any other professional sportsperson have a duty to abide by.

Hull KR should sack him and the RFL should ban him
