i guess it's best to do some research on the 2007 RLIF rankings before lambasting the new ranking eh chris?

australia had/have a massive lead in the rankings,so much so they can and have lost 2 of the last 3 tournaments and still be top...much akin to tiger woods being injured for a year and still being top of the PGA rankings..australia could'nt have been overtaken whatever the result of the world cup

in the 2007 RLIF rankings NZ were 0.5 points ahead of GB/eng,had there been a new rankings list made in 2008 GB/eng would have over taken NZ by virtue of the 3-0 test win...NZ world cup win has ensured they remain above ENG in the new 2009 RLIF rankings...

both NZ and GB/eng where miles ahead of the 4th ranked team in the 2007 rankings, the 4th ranked team being TONGA...likewise the 4th ranked team could have never have overtaken the 3rd ranked team given the gap in ranking points...

like i said chris...do some research beforehand

winning like never before. decoys. mouse traps. chicken wings. lollie pops. shepperds. the crusher. grapples. big league. In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

Yes, but when they retire the Kiwi players can hold a WC WINNERS medal, I assume that means more to them than some periodic ratngs based on some formula.

Won 2 of the last 3 tournaments and lost the 3rd in extra time. Geez what do you have to do to be ranked N01?

Joke anyways as there isn't enough Int comp involving all teams to have any meaningful ladder.

Is the RLIF based in Oz?

Not Australia, Oz. Clearly a barking decision worthy of the scarecrow.
