Now for one, im not saying the england team did well in the WC because, as we all know they didnt. But are you serioulsy telling me that our only other ENGLISH centres (Pryce and Goulding) should have gone in Gleesons place and that they are actually better players than Gleeson is?
I agree that our most urgent priority is a prop but who do you suggest we go after who is AVAILABLE and off-quota?

I agree with this but was Gleeson nessacerily available? If it's possible to prize Gleeson away from Warrington, is it not possible to prize Burgess, Lynch, Peacock etc away from their clubs?

i probably have too much faith in our owners and assume they have explored these avenues and rec'd a negative response. I cant see any Leeds players being available but i would have thought 1 or 2 of the bradford squad may be available but then it depends on IF they'd want to join Wigan.
the thing with Gleeson is, hes a Wigan lad and its been well documented that he wanted to join Wigan when he left Saints (wether thats true or not) which may be why the club are apparently persuing this?

Just playing devil's advocate really.
I'll admit that I'm quite excited about the prospect of Gleeson playing for Wigan as I'm sure Amos Roberts is. The longer it drags on though, the more unlikely it seems.
