Are you having a laugh? Gidley is twice the player of Gleeson and is a player I would have at Wigan any day, Gleeson I really am not that fussed about.

Not that im a massive fan of him coming tbh....but gleeson and gidley are obviously comparable players by that stat.....gleeson was better than gidley in 80 % of his game last year, depite not being seen to hit the hights!!!

There's no doubt that Gleeson is a classy centre. He is a natural centre who can claim to be one of the very few GB players who is approaching world class.
Sadly for him, those tend to be fleeting moments in his career.

When Gleeson is fired up he's a very good player and he's proved that in an England shirt imo. He's had some great games for the national side and caused the Aussies and Kiwi's plenty of problems.

Don't forget that Gleeson sees a lot more of the ball at Dire than Gidley does at Saints being that he's near enough their only strike player worth talking about.
He'd be a decent signing for you IMO, he'd be even better if he can get his 'refuelling' problems sorted out. You'll actually have a centre worth worrying about
