Are you getting mixed up with why he left Wigan?

If not, then that's two alledged 'non rugby' sackings.

Oh, and he was sacked by Huddersfield too.

Like I say, I don't think he's the type of coach who can bring out the best of a club with expectations of a high table finish.

Shame we cant get him to pick the players and someone else do his tactics for him coz he stinks at that. I was under the understanding that when we got him he was only there to save us from relegation that year anyway I thought he wanted a short term contract then off somewhere else. Ah well never mind. Was happy he stayed at the time... Look at us now. Still I think let his contract run down and then replace no point wasting money not like he's sending us to NL1 or anything.

Does he even want the job?

If IL is willing to buy Gleeson for Noble, he clearly backs him.

He may not stay.
Smith is going to get the elbow from the England job and they will be looking for a replacement. No other candidate than Brian Noble appears anywhere who may be OOC or available.
I'm surprised Smith was retained on a part time basis.
We go down under 2010 for a four nations and England will have to improve massively to avoid ending fourth.
IMO Noble could be offered a two year deal for the 2010 & 2011 four nations comps.
GB did far better under Noble than England did with Smith.
The win at the Sydney FS over Aus was a convincing win.
Pity the RFL agreed to fixtures that meant GB had to play every week when the Aussies & Kiwis played one week rested the next. Only the RFL would agree to something as stupid as that. The ARL would never, ever put their players in that position.
I'm not convinced Noble will stay beyond his contract at all.
If he doesn't get the National job Bradford may take him back.
McNamara isn't doing too much with Bradford. They did another one of their losing the game in the last 15 mins v Cas.
