im a wigan fan; living in barrow, making me a barrow fan aswell. so i will admit it on here, being barrow-born im opting for the underdog and my roots and shouting for barrow against my better judgement on sunday. But to be honest; from a barrow point a view the result is irrelevent. The gap between super league and the championships rugby is generally big, but i really hope for a good game on sunday, i classic cup encounter. I mean, craven park has sold out for the first time in years, and barrow couldnt of drawn a better draw than wigan at home. Although im a commited wigan fan, i would love to see barrow put up a great fight. Its a fantastic showcase for the barrow club and fans, and i think barrow could suprised wigan. With my rugby blood being a 50/50% mixture of barrow and wigan, it will be an intreging match for me. i cant wait. i hope it isnt a wigan walkover, although i would be very dissapointed if they lost. to be honest i really dont know what i want the result to be. But i think the form wigan are in; and the good form barrow are in, it could be a close match.
Thoughts ?

I'd be gobsmacked if we didn't win by at least 30. No offence to Barrow, it's just that RL throws up very few cup surprises in the way that football does. I'm sure someone will put me right, but I'm struggling to think of many occasions when a team outside of SL has put a play-off level SL team out.
That said, if Barrow do score a couple early on it could get very interesting

most definately; on paper should be a conclusive wigan victory. but as they say matches arent won on paper. 5000 fans behind barrow; never know.

It would surely have to be Mathers fault.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Just joking mate, these are the games that make the Challenge Cup for me, really looking forward to a great day out, havn't been to Barrow for a few years, I'm sure that they will raise their game in front of a vocal full house, dont think we'll get it all our own way but we should have enough to win, but stranger things have happened before, enjoy the day !!!!!!!

garry broadbent (barrow fullback) is miles better than mathers, thats no over-exaggeration. You'd never see him drop a high bomb or miss a tackle; i hope he shows it sunday. brilliant player, would have him ahead of mathers any day of the week

I think there are afew players in NL1 and 2 who would be better than some of the current players at times with abit of fitness. Prop for Coley comes to mind on a small wage
