Contracts often aren't worth the paper they're written on, There could be a contract for another club signed for next season and safely stored in a clubs safe until the anti-tampering deadline passes.
As for Willie Mason, he'll probably wind up in SL next year if he leaves the roosters, maybe at Warrington or somewhere where they like to spend large amounts of cash. That or in French Rugby Union
