This is getting out of hand. Take a leaf out of Leons families book, life goes on & they are big enough to say so No one was more annoyed at us getting beat in the manner we did, but they have a life outside rugby because we choose to follow the Reds wherever, & pay our money, we do not own the players.
No, but they have to realise the sacrafices we make to follow that club and all most of us ask back is abit of pride.

FFS! All the guy has done is waved and blown kisses to his little daughter. Whether we win or lose if you think he's done wrong then you really need to get your self a fuking life.
If you had a little child who was waving at you would you just totally ignore him/her, upsetting him/her, or should you be more worried that you might upset a group of grown men who need to get their head from outta their booty.
Perhaps when some of you mature and get families of your own you might understand why he did this. If you still don't then I pity you.

I can't believe that half this topic was created in the first place... I also don't care if they come over and applaud... I really don't give two hoots... We have the choice to go and watch them away from home... nobody is forcing anybody, so why do the fans deserve applause from the players ? When the players come over after the garbage they have just produced and applaud the fans... it leads fans into clapping back... and collectively as a team they really don't deserve it. If Lee Jewitt was waving to his wife and child then so what... I don't really care... he's not committed a crime has he ?
Like I said... I couldn't give a toss what they do anymore.

This post saddens me terribly because, probably like everyone else, I know who you are (LF) and appreciate the efforts you have put into the club over the years. What is so sickening is that, like myself, you seem to have reached the point where it has become unimportant watching Salford because of what is being served up. The nature of the club has changed and as paying spectators I feel we are being cheated. I never felt like that before despite the interminable gloomy years - I always felt like it was part of me and I was part of it. Now, I stand in the Shed and watch with almost resignation and disinterest. These bits and pieces of nonsense about did he or didn't he wave or applaud me are trivial compared to the isolation of the clubs dwindling hardcore of honest supporters.

can some one please lock this topic now. it seems that someone has mis read the situation and now it has been blown out of all proportion and has even upset the players wife. lets get a grip folks. as JJ has said, it is only a game not a matter of life and death. if you dont feel as though the club are doing you proud, simple. stay at home. rant over

Spot on. And you can class me as part of the dissinterested anymore clan, so much so I've backed against Salford every game this season and won, they've paid for my trips to Edinburgh and Perpignan too so at least theres some saving grace.
this will not be the end, or even the beginning of the end.
It is merely the end of the beginning

Thank You... I appreciate your comments.
It's an odd feeling, and one which I never believed would be possible. I never thought I'd see the day when I would much prefer to spend the afternoon going for a walk than going to a game.... in fact... I never thought anything would overtake that feeling of going to a game. I think it's been coming for a good while this feeling and gradually got worse over the last few weeks. I think it really hit me against Harlequins... I was walking down Weaste Lane from what I would call the De La Salle end. As you know... walking down that road you are practically looking down to the stadium. I felt nothing. I used to feel excited walking down that road with the stadium in view... but nothing. I questioned why I was doing it.... what it was giving me. There was no excitement... no adrenaline.... I may as well have been going shopping. I spent much of that second half sat in the press box... chatting to a couple of members of the press... who were also bored. I was described by one as being like the child who has had enough of playing with his toys and can't find anything better to do, so ambles around looking for something to catch his eye.
I do hope this is a phase I am going though.... but I am desperately seeking something to lift my spirits.
