My mate in a corsa did it in about 54 minutes two years ago. 8)

an atmosphere that isn't created by people in matching shirts clapping along to a drum or novelty PA music might be nice!

A couple of years back I managed Odsal to Leigh in 43 minutes

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Good effort. Managed it in 40 minutes going to a FC Halifax Town game this year; the fact that Leigh is nearer to Halifax is cancelled out by the fact that the M62 is far more accessible from Widnes.

In short, Vikingmon is scared of another defeat and as such is grasping any excuse possible to avoid going (further proof being that even our club coaches, never mind cars, aren't leaving Leigh until 5:45pm when we play at Wakefield on Friday, and that's at least another 20 miles further away than 'Fax!)
