The worst thing was McRae admitting after the game that it was a gamble, and that White was playing with a torn cruciate ligament!!

Good coaching? He deserves never to coach again after that!!

Agreed.

Was nice to hear the rovers fans cheering when White collapsed to the floor after getting crunched...very classy that was especially coming just 20 minutes after having a minutes silence for a lad who died playing the same game

Are you sure they wern't cheering the tackle made by Newton on White and not the injury...

bad coaching picking a player for a game thats unfit the franchise is supposed to stop this and give young talent the taste of super league to bring them on rather than play injuered players theres no relegation so better to give the young guns a chance rather than loose a player for season. proves that the coaching is not up to scratch

He got up and played the ball, then fell down again followed by a big cheer

Initially yes, it was an immense hit to be fair...but when White fell down after playing the ball there was a definite cheer

I am finding this hard to comprehend.

"We had to find out if his knee would stand up" McRae is quoted as saying.

Well 80 minutes of playing one of the most physical contact sports in the world is one way method of assessing his health I guess
