Dead right mate, however much it hurts to admit it, I came to that exact conclusion yesterday

Sadly, that is exactly my feeling too. As OrdsallRed alludes to it is also dawning on our support increasingly. As has already been said, the 'regulars' are dwindling all the time and soon there will be nobody going at all. My own particular limit was the display at Cas where the team and their efforts were a complete laughing stock - The Cas supporters were actually laughing at how bad we were FFS!. I stood and watched the same cr@p against Quins and Wigan and will not go to any more away games until they get their act together and make me feel pride in the club I love. After 45 years of watching the team, Home and Away, I really have reached my limit this past few weeks. All of this "Cas were the same last year" and "McRae had success at Saints and Hull" just doesn't wash with me. Cas competed, even when they were losing and Saints and Hull were littered with good players. At present, Salford can't even put a team together such is the alarming discontent and disconnection so evident amongst the players. I don't know who is to blame but I am sick of wasting my hard earned few quid watching them go through the motions. I would rather watch a team of 18 years olds get hammered but show pride and spirit than watch this disgrace any more. I have held a ST for years and I can honestly say that it is the only thing that may get me to see us humiliated further against Warrington in a couple of weeks. I expect the usual 'Top Reds' to criticise my disloyalty but this Club is finished if drastic action is not taken very, very soon

I think its time for the club to show some balls and give us fans a bit of honesty if they want our continued support. If we have prima donnas in our team who dont want to play with other team members so be it dont play them drop them but dont tell us they are injured let us know what is going on. At least if we have some honesty and can see the club are trying to sort things out we may be a bit more willing to continue paying our money.

Didnt go yesterday and wont be going next week but only because I cant stand going to Hul however I did listen on the radio. The one thing that I kept hearing was the commentators questioning Wiltshires commitment and saying he didnt look like he wanted to play. Why then was he left on the pitch and if this is the case he should be shown the door and never put a red shirt on again.

As I said time for the club to show some balls stop playing the prima donnas and give some of the youngsters a chance. They cant do any worse and will at least show some pride on the field. We have nothing to lose no relegation and would surely gain more respect from the fans.

Also I am not one for normally joining the get rid of the coach brigade but I really tink its time for our coach to go.

Bring back Karl Harrison we were no worse under him.

Rant over.

The thing is RedHazel that we were better under Harrison weren't we? We had similar average players who he (and Lowes) melded into a team that wanted to play for each other and the defence was generally very good. They played as a team until ..... errrr they decided they didn't want to - and it was at that point that players should have been pushed and not the Coach IMHO.
What dismays me most of all is that they have, again, despite the usual protestations, decided that they are not playing as a team. For so-called, professional athletes it is scandalous.
Like you, I didn't go to Hull yesterday but listened to the same commentary and there are problems that everyone can see but the people who need to see it!
I will not be going to Hull this week either and it is because I refuse to waste any more of my hard earned cash to come hope p!$$ed off! Perhaps that is the only way those who need to respond might respond i.e. when they notice that nobody is watching anymore.....?

I think we need a complete overhall of the coaching structure. Its clear that the current coach, asst coach, fitness coach ect... is not doing the job and will not take the club forward. Our fitnes looks poor at times our style of rugby is slow, we lack ideas and direction on the field.

Mcrea does not have the balls to make the decision and drop some the so called big name players that are not performing week in week out. I include a majority of the squad in this as well.

Only Alker, Myler Swain Sidlow, Adamson and Big Phil , have shown any kind of commitment on the field and look as though they want to play for the club. The rest have,nt been worth a toss. I relise that you can not drop every single player but its about time some of the kids were given a chance they may not be world beaters but I sure they would show more heart and courage than whats on the feild at the moment.

For the Hull game next week I would bring bak Ratchford and play him in the correct position, Thornley maybe give young Palfery a game and Walton also Sibbit if fit.

As for who you can drop..Take your pick also the Forwards need to be looked at because its just not working at the moment.

I did go to HKR - and for 30 minutes thought things were changing. Even texted my son to say light at the end of the tunnel, unfortunately it was a train coming!

OK HKR were pretty poor in the first half, but we were capitalising on their mistakes and scoring! The only reason they got back to 12 12 in the first half were our unforced errors and giving away a couple of really stupid penalties. Is that the coaches fault?

As for John Wislhere - 1'st half he kicked both conversions, one from the touchline and at full back was getting well involved in the game - can't fault his committment there. But his knee had almost identical strapping to Paul White so was he brought back too soon? Coaches decision!

2'nd half, we go behind and the whole thing falls apart - Now in the light of recent games I can accept that their confidence is fragile, but the shambles that follows was embarrassing - professionals? Well they're getting paid do I suppose they must be!

What was said in each dressing room at half time? - HKR come out, cut out the errors and roll us over like a team of amateurs who've never been introduced to each other - now that has to be down to attitude, professionalism, coaching and sheer doggedness and determination - we seem to be sadly lacking all these qualities at the moment.

Now, can this be turned around? Whilst fully accepting the "new in superleague", "time to adjust to the pace" etc etc and certainly never expecting that we'd finnish much above the bottom places, I did kind of think that we might compete - but we just aren't.

Is that down to:
1) Quality/Ability of players
2) Committment to the cause
3) Coaching staff
4) Discontent in the ranks
5) Something else?

In any organisation there will be tensions and conflicts, occasional underperformance etc and it's up the management to sort it out. It's NOT rocket science, it needs a clear view of the aims of the organisation and a strategy in place which explains to all member just how WE are going to meet those aims - does that ethos exist at Salford? The more I watch (and yes like all of us I'm just an outside observer) the less I think it does.

Solution: It has to come from board level - a complete review of where we are going, where we are now and how do we get there. Hysteria and personal abuse should never come in to it, but there does need to be some serious soul searching within this club's management.

End of lecture!

I can,t understand why you are moaning.

You are in Nonrelegation league for the next 2 seasons and you deserve to be there because you won last years Grand Final.

I have watched my team for over 50 seasons and we are in a league were we could be relegated and also not playing to our potential.

Our gates are suffering because of performances but we still took about 450 to watch us scrape a win at Doncaster yesterday.

Best to get behind your team imo. Count your blessings.

McCrae talks a good game...

Listened to his rant about salary cap yesterday after the game, tough! maybe he had an excuse 2007, he didn't pick the squad , however for the last season and this pre season it's been his decision as to who he brought in , bought up from academy and who he released.

Injuries , don't hear Keir complain from wakefield .
You expect a head Coach to be able to get a TEAM performance no matter what level of ability and that's what good Coaches do.

Need to make quick decision , better off with Hunte & Naylor in a coaching capacity for the rest of the season and leave McCrae to his full time Job, talking a good game for SKY. :x
