you're obviously at the posh end of the street then. No sign of sparkling new black DBM near me.

Go for a drive around Liverpool, I think the RAF practice bombing during the night.

Having just paid £500 to get my car through its MOT......I can totaly agree with everyone on here. The mechanic/examiner that tested my car told me the reason behind the excess wear and tear to my Mitsubishi Delica was definately due to a mixture of road wear and (mostly) speed bumps!!! He is dead against these monstrosities even though they line his pockets All they do is turn a normal twokker into Bo Duke....."YeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaa!"

Hedon rd is a joke . It's a fairly new surface on it and it looks like it's been carpet bombed. Davey 37 pointed out just one section , The inside lane on the prison roundabout . How anyone on a motorbike hasn't come off there is a miracle.
The bridges over the rounder bouts at saltend and Vicky dock estate are sinking. Also the road over the drain near the King George dock is falling into it and has had emergency work on it for the last two months.
[quote="Neil HFC"]you'll find the chevrons tend to go missing when someone drives into them, hence its preferable they are;
1) Collapsible rather than solid steel posts set in concrete
2) There to warn people of the corner.
its also ludicrous to say they are on "just about every corner".
Seriously, travel between Withernsea and Hull. These plastic chevrons are on "just about every corner" and even on some corners that actually aren't Complete waste of money imo. The vast majority of us are well capable of following the road round a corner without a six foot chevron to guide us round. Not saying there is never a need. Of course there is but not over to over excess.

I do, regularly, as well as the rest of East Yorks, on everything from Motorways to single track roads you can barely get a car down, and I'm still of the opinion you are wrong, the ones that are there are generally on unlit corners, the intention being to minimise the risk of people driving off the roads and into the fields/ditches at night.
