nail on the head. he wouldnt be in my 17 but he is in front of several others currently that should be dropped first imo

It was exacly the same as every game I can remeber against them. The bad weather always meant it was going to be an arm wrestle down the middle and Quins are the masters at it. We tried hard but a couple of mistakes ended up making all the difference. They played the perfect slowing down game in the second half and didn't give us a single penalty in the second 40. The sides were very well matched on the day and a couple of pieces of indiscipline unltimately cost us.

I was far more disappointed with last week than this.

So why try and take them on at it? We've consistently failed to beat them that way so it's about time we tried something different.

Our failings are blatantly obvious to even the passing observer, and have been for a while. The fact that nothing seems to be done to change these fundamental problems suggests to me that our playing and coaching staff are braindead. I've seen amateur sides with more tactical nous.

The sides were very well matched you say? From the 50th minute I couldn't see any way we were going to get back into the game. For a game to be pretty much settled so early indicates a bit of a gulf IMO.

if there is supposed to be all these changes then does that suggest that were not taking the competition seriously this season?

i would bring washy into the starting 13 drop willy to the bench for a rest ,and i would play big sam in the reserves for some match fittness ,bring back thacks i would possibly rest houghton as well needs some game time under his belt ,maybe bring in whiting on the bench ,i dont think we can make too many changes salford have to be respected any SL team can turn you over on there day ,an idea maybe to start king and thacks giving the other two props a bit of a rest from playing 60 mins

i'd drop moa and have whiting in, and willie on the bench. should come on for tickle
berrigans injured? so i'd rest him
houghton starting, and lee on for houghton
thacks back in with king
so my bench would be:

Willie, Thacks, King, Lee

Whiting can cover in the backs if injuries arise.
IMO

Craig Bellamy: "We're not boxers, we're footy players, and we've got to keep reminding ourselves of that. We're not too worried about getting bashed, believe me. We've got Michael Crocker."

Thacks in for Moa.

Whiting in for Lee.

Still don't think Washy is fit.
