mine was 2005, my first year as a season ticket holder. obviously i had been to bradford as thats not too far away but what i class as my first proper away game was warrington.

i believe we went in on the back of a win or 2 and we played very well, i also remeber coming home disapponted due to having about 3 trys chalked off and warrington winning the match 14-8.

on the way home we stopped off at the pub, had an hour in their and set back off home, in which time we passed the team coach, tanzey got everyone up cheering and singing at the players and i remember marcus st hilare looking at us and smiling.

we then went on to win our next game i think.

what was your first away game and what memories does it have for you??

Doncaster - Yorkshire cup 1st round tie at the old Tattersfield groundi in 1988 or 1989.

we went on the early fartown flyers which was a little rickety minibus driven by an 89 year old guy who fell asleep !!
when we arived there was only a flaming Camel moored up in the car park that belonged to some travelling friends living there - the 8 of us fell about laughing

oh and we lost !

went to pretty much every away game till about 94/5 when i started my family.
in those days dont forget we used to trek to whitehaven, workington, barrow and carlisle as well as london

Mine was 54 years ago and I`m damned if I can remember which game it was.
