Pongian brought the best out of Smith who had not lived up to expectations.

If Fielden would not stand up with a player like Mason in the squad then there is something wrong with the lad.

He would not be cheap but why should he be?

Don't think Mason is the answer to our prop problems

BUT

Predominantly plays 2nd row
Not a leader
Attitude/application would be a certain problem
Would want an absolute bag full

I also think he has lost a lot of form recently. I think he will struggle to get an Origin place IMHO

Not sure you need any more imports in your team.
Noble is doing exactly the same as he did at Bradford signing overseas players whose grandad was born in Ireland for example so therefore exempt from quota.
Wigan have an excellent youth system.
Consolidate for a year or two and nurture your home grown players.
It worked at Leeds.

We need a top Prop now in 2 years we will be in the same situation even if we consolidate as we need a specific type of player who is experienced and intimidating, we do not have anyone capable of taking this role within the club, which is why we need to look elsewhere, again in my opinion there are non of this type of player available in the SL hence we have to look to the NRL.

The grandparents rule is no longer in existance as we now abide by which federation they were trained in not where there grandparents are from.
