He plays at St Judes were he is involved with a bunch of lads who seem close knit and they have a good community there. They all seem proud of their club & team and are close mates. Also, he works for his Dad's roofing company so is ok financially.
He is a follower of these boards and occaisonally posts so I'm sure he'll be loving this thread.

But surley alex he is not too old at 21. If he has won as many MOM awards as the post from the other thread says he is worthy of some kind of pro contract, even with a lower club.
I can understand thae fact he wouldnt want to play for £30 a game like some wigan youngsters but if a worthy contract was presented by one club or another??????
The professional game just isnt as appealing as its made out to be, I dont know him personally but seen him play and hes quality but if he doesnt want to make the step up its his decision and its one that a lot of people are taking.

To be fair to the lad he did want advice on how he could improve his training which i was only too happy to offer, so he clearly has ambition to be the best he can in his environment. I totally understand his stance and fair play to him, its a shame talented lads do not want to kick on but given the nature of our sport it is understandable.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.
Pengy is a close freind and team mate of mine at st judes quality player and loves rugby league .Last season he was asked to go to train with the st helens reserves but didnt take the opportunity because at the time he was enjoying his rugby with st judes and wanted to concentrate on getting the team promoted to the ncl prem. Ive spoke to paul a few times about what if wigan came knocking on his door . Him being a wigan lad and supported the club his whole life the answer wud be a definate YES! .He once told me that the only club that would be able to take him away from st judes was wigan and that he would just enjoy being part of the set up and training with the squad . I firmly believe that pengy could do more in a wigan shirt than richie mathers ' cameron phelps ' darryl goulding so would be a good addition to the team

Aye, although the post above (bigun from wigan) has stated IF he was to play pro, he would only ever do it for Wigan.
