There were some Quins fans behind me who kept moaning every time Chad or Danny kicked it dead to get Hull to restart from the 20. Moaning because they thought it was a wasted kick, they simply could not grasp that making Hull play their way out of their own half on a very greasy pitch was a very effective tactic. Got a little bit annoying after a while, I perhaps wouldn't mind except that Tony Rae used to make use of this tactic quite a lot back in the Griffin Park days.

I'd say they brought around 1k, but it's always difficult to tell. Hull FC always bring a decent away support, considering it was a 6 pm kick off and on Sky they were very good.

We used to do it at Leeds alot. 2004 was a busy year for the 20m restart. It's a smart tactic. I was going to say good but I think smart is more appropriate. I enjoyed the game. Quins have some excellent, young British players coming through, really is fantastic to see.
