Great in first five matches. None existant in last two. Not sure why but it's a major factor in the two defeats. We're no longer setting our stall out in defence and the lack of urgency and enthusiasm in this area is filtering through to all our play.

Because we have 2 props playing 60 minutes + and 2 2nd rowers playing the full 80

Shouldnt we be "hitting the straps" at this point of the season.

In my opinion, line speed wasn't the problem, the defensive line didn't have a chance when the square markers don't work. It dosn't matter what anyone does if you give Randall or any other player for that matter, 4 or 5 yards evrytime.

IMO Quins proved it does work. They were miles quicker off the line than us and ultimately that's what prevented us from going forward in the second half. Marker defence was slack too I would agree. Part and parcel of the same problem - lack of enthusiasm.

Bingo!

It's blatantly obvious that the usual suspects doing more minutes look knackered which results in lesser performances. It seems our coaching staff don't agree with this assessment however.

In all the games Ive seen of Hull this season , We've started dominantly in the forwards . The worrying thing is , In the last two games is how easily we've let that dominance slip .
