I suppose a small number will have to:
1) Our Reserve & Academy Teams are successful year on year and we couldn't manage to keep ALL the young players.
2) Super League would collapse as the 'usual clubs' who have depended on our surplus would either cease to exist or suddenly realise they have to stand on their own two feet an recruit from within!

And with the massive leap of 6 foot 2 Ade Gardner, I think he may score a pot full. On the hand, we'd desparatley miss his attacking presence. The height thing is certainly a worry for me
opinions...?
Couldn't agree more as there is no doubt he'll be in for a very busy game , he'll sink or swim but our other options are equally shaky.
For me, it's more a question of managing him rather than hoping he stands up to the constant pressure he'll be under, if Long kicks him to death then his development may go backwards for a while. On the other hand you can't always wrap him up in cotton wool, i'll sit on the fence with this one

Hey, I hope you do keep your young kids, local kids playing for their home club is what its about, while we had 4 local lads in our team last night, there are as many again on the fringes, last week agaisnt quins we had 5 or 6 and its the way ahead for all clubs.
I'm not (for this season).
For next I want Bailey / Phelps / Smith / Mathers out.
And in I want a good quality enforcer (S*hithouse) prop and a decent centre. If one of those players has good leadership / captain qualities, even better!
I also want the club not to renew Noble's contract. The Wigan public need to see something different on the field than what we've seen for the last 2 years, cause this has been mindnumbingly boring since we stayed up in 2006.

Reserves have just finished:
Wigan 40 Hudds 6
Top of the league, unbeaten.
The foundations are there, as they always have been!
