Yes i'd play him.
The guy isn't gonna get any taller so he's gonna have to learn to deal with this aspect of the game isn't he?
Who says he has to defend on the wing btw? Why can't we just stick someone larger on the wing on the last tackle?

I think you give us alot of credit there.
Play the lad he would give more heart to a derby than any of the other 'journeymen'. I'd rather see passion in a derby for once, and actually hope he scores (not the winning try obviously ). It would do his confidence the world of good.
