Flew to Toulouse last week mate. There is a bus shuttle service which takes round 20-25 Minutes and cost me 4 Euros.Runs every 20 Minutes! A taxi is atleast 15€! Was only there for one hour but looks a nice place with a canal that runs through the centre. Sadly Rugby Union has a shop in the Airport though could not see the Book "The Forbidden game" by Mike Rylance in the shop window
Toulouse has a Metro/Underground as well as Buses so most places should be quite easy to get too.
Very reasonable prices and in the centre of Toulouse.
We booked on flight from East Midlands with ryan air to carcassonne (cheap too).
Going to get the train to Toulouse which is about 50 mins away (13 euros)
There is now 10 of us going.
The hotel is great as we stayed there a few years ago when widnes played over there. There is a bus stop about 3 mins from the hotel were you can catch the bus to the stadium and the town square is a short walk aswell. We had a great time over there (except for the game....lol)there is also a smashing irish pub not too far away from the hotel aswell were we had a great night.Enjoy your trip it is a great place to visit.

Yer we are flying from East Midlands to Carcasonne on Wednesday but there are flights direct to Toulouse from Leeds / Bradford (fly out Saturday morning back Tuesday) and they are only £50 dearer so worth a shout as we are with rubbish Ryan air who I hate (Irish rip off merchants).

Cheers, very helpful. How much is Ibis hotel in Toulouse? Anyone staying in Carcassone? We are thinking of two nights in Carcassone, 15th/16th and two nights in Toulouse, 17th/18th.

yer 5 of us are, nowt booked hotel wise not got the money to book yet.
Don't get caught out with the slump in the exchange rate guys.
I've just had a cracking four days in Holland at a rock gig ( 3 actually ) and when I was at the same venue two years ago the £ was worth 1.4 Euro's, the price of a pint of draught beer was 21. Euro's.
Last week, the £ was worth 1.1 Euro and the same pint of beer in the very same bar was 3.5 Euro's....
I know there's inflation and all that crap and the group I went to see were exclusive to that particular venue for four days so we were a captive audience as they say, but the prices did come as something of a shock
FAILURE ISN'T ABOUT FALLING DOWN, FAILURE IS STAYING DOWN..........
